Another week of the Glory Hunters promo has started, and this time the biggest name to test is Erling Haaland.
He is the kind of card that immediately attracts attention because of the name, the stats and the raw attacking power. When you see 99 shooting and 95 physical on a Haaland card, you already know what type of striker you are getting.
This is not a small technical forward.
This is a massive striker built to run through defenders, win aerial duels and finish chances with brutal efficiency.
But the real question is simple:
Does Haaland actually feel worth the coins in-game?
For me, the answer is no — at least not for my playstyle.

Haaland’s Glory Hunters card has an elite striker profile:

The numbers are clearly top-tier.
His shooting is almost maxed out, his pace is very strong for a player of his size, and the physical stats are exactly what you expect from Haaland.
The 5★ Weak Foot is a huge plus because it makes him much more reliable in the box.
However, the 4★ Skill Moves and his heavy body type are the two things that limit the card.
In-Game Feel: Powerful, But Not Smooth
Haaland is a very specific type of striker.
If you like big forwards who can bully defenders, run in behind and finish everything inside the box, he can be very effective.
But if you prefer agile attackers who can turn quickly, dribble in tight spaces and create their own shooting angles, Haaland may feel frustrating.
For me, he felt too heavy.
His agility and balance are not terrible on paper, but they still show in-game. With a player this big, even 91 agility and 92 balance do not always translate into smooth movement.
He can feel slow when turning.
He can feel stiff when receiving under pressure.
And in tight areas, he does not have the same sharpness as smaller elite attackers.
Best Chemistry Style: Catalyst
To make him easier to use, I tried Catalyst.
The main reason is simple: Catalyst helps push him into a better running style and gives him that Lengthy advantage.
With Lengthy, Haaland becomes much more dangerous when running into space. Once he gets moving, he can separate from defenders and use his huge frame to stay ahead.
This is where the card feels strongest.
He is not the type of striker who needs to dance around defenders.
He needs space, speed and direct service.
With Catalyst, he becomes better at:
• running behind the defensive line
• using his pace over distance
• creating separation from centre-backs
• receiving through balls
• attacking open grass
If you use Haaland, you should build your attack around direct runs and early passes into space.
Physical Presence and Aerial Dominance
This is where Haaland is obviously elite.
His body type is massive, and he feels extremely strong in physical duels.
He can push defenders away, hold the ball under pressure and dominate aerial situations. When the ball comes into the box, he is always a threat.
That part of the card is exactly what you expect.
He wins headers.
He shields the ball well.
He can bully smaller defenders.
He is dangerous on crosses, corners and long balls.
If your playstyle includes wide attacks, early crosses or direct football, Haaland becomes much more useful.
Shooting: Almost Automatic, But Expectations Are Huge
The shooting is obviously excellent.
With 99 shooting, Haaland finishes most chances. In clear situations, he feels extremely reliable.
I would say he scores around 8 out of 10 good shooting chances, which is objectively very strong.
But the problem is expectation.
For a card this expensive, you expect something almost perfect. You do not just expect goals — you expect every movement, every touch and every attacking action to feel worth the price.
And that is where Haaland disappointed me.
Yes, he scores.
But because he feels heavy and limited in tight spaces, he does not always create chances as easily as other elite attackers.
So even though the finishing is great, the overall attacking experience did not feel special enough for the coins.
The Main Problem: Mobility
The biggest downside of this card is mobility.
Haaland is not unusable, but he is not smooth.
The 4★ Skill Moves also make this problem more noticeable.
At this stage of FC 26, many top attackers feel extremely responsive. They can turn quickly, chain skills, create angles and escape pressure inside the box.
Haaland does not feel like that.
He is more direct, more physical and more predictable.
That can still work, but only if your playstyle fits him.
If you rely on technical attacking play, quick turns and skill moves, he may feel too limited.
Best Role for Haaland
Haaland should be used as a pure striker.

• Target Forward
• Advanced Forward
• Poacher
• Direct runner behind the defence
He should not be used as a false nine or creative striker.
You want him close to goal, attacking space and finishing chances.
His best role is simple: get the ball to him in dangerous areas and let him shoot.
Who Should Buy Haaland?
Buy Haaland If:
• You like big physical strikers
• You play direct football
• You use through balls and early passes
• You cross often
• You want a striker with elite finishing
• You can handle less agile attackers
• You value 5★ Weak Foot more than 5★ Skill Moves
Skip Haaland If:
• You prefer agile attackers
• You rely on quick turns in the box
• You need 5★ Skill Moves
• You do not like heavy body types
• You want your striker to create chances alone
• You expect a smooth elite meta attacker for the price
Is Haaland Worth the Coins?
For me, no.
Haaland is obviously a strong card, but I do not think he fully justifies the price.
He has elite shooting, huge physical presence and excellent aerial ability. With Catalyst, he can also use Lengthy to run away from defenders.
But the lack of mobility is too noticeable.
He feels too heavy in attack, and the 4★ Skill Moves limit what you can do in tight spaces.
If you are paying premium coins for a striker, you want someone who feels dangerous in every attacking situation. Haaland is dangerous in the right situations, but not flexible enough for me.
That is why I would not call him a must-buy.
Final Verdict
Erling Haaland’s Glory Hunters card is powerful, expensive and very specific.
He is an elite finisher with 99 shooting, 5★ Weak Foot, huge physical presence and serious aerial dominance. If you like direct football and big strikers, he can absolutely work.
But for me, the card is too clunky.
His movement feels heavy, and the 4★ Skill Moves make him less flexible than other elite attackers at this stage of the game.
Yes, he scores a lot.
But for the price, I expected more comfort, more mobility and more attacking freedom.
