LaLiga TOTS is finally here, and of course most of the attention goes straight to Kylian Mbappé and Lamine Yamal. But honestly, there is not much mystery around those two. They are elite cards, they are expensive, and they are obviously among the strongest players in FC 26 Ultimate Team right now.
So instead of repeating the obvious, I want to look at the more interesting part of this team: the cards that may actually be good value for your coins, and the cards that look expensive for the wrong reasons.
This LaLiga TOTS team has some very strong options — Pau Cubarsí, Raphinha, Marcos Alonso, Fede Valverde — but also a few cards I personally would not rush to buy, even if the name looks attractive.
Prices and market value can move quickly during TOTS, so this review is based on market prices and gameplay value at the time of writing.
Quick Answer: Best LaLiga TOTS Cards in FC 26
Best Value: Pau Cubarsí Most Underrated: Raphinha Best Midfielder: Fede Valverde Best Premium Full-Back: Marcos Alonso Most Questionable Value: Pedri Be Careful: Tchouaméni
The best value LaLiga TOTS card in FC 26 right now looks like Pau Cubarsí, mainly because of his price, defensive PlayStyles, and overall reliability for the coins.
Raphinha also looks underrated, especially if you need an explosive wide player with Rapid+ and Quick Step+.
For value, Marcos Alonso’s 75k Evolution is one of the strongest surprises, while Fede Valverde is the premium midfielder who feels most justified.
The most questionable value card, for me, is Pedri. Not because he is bad — of course he is not — but because at around 1.2 million coins, I think the expectations should be much higher.
Best LaLiga TOTS Value Picks in FC 26
Here is my quick ranking before we go deeper:
Pau Cubarsí — best value defender.
Raphinha — most underrated attacker.
Fede Valverde — best all-around midfielder.
Marcos Alonso — best value Evolution.
Pedri — most questionable value for the price.
Tchouaméni — strong tools, but questionable in-game feel
This does not mean Pedri or Tchouaméni are bad cards. The question is not “are they usable?” The question is: are they actually worth the coins compared to the alternatives?
And that is where things get more interesting.
LaLiga TOTS Overview: Why We Are Not Focusing on Mbappé and Yamal
This LaLiga TOTS team has a bit of everything: elite attackers, expensive meta cards, strong defenders, and a few names that will divide the community.
The main question is not whether Mbappé or Yamal are good. They are. Everyone understands that. The real question is whether the cards outside the obvious top tier are actually worth spending your FC 26 coins on.
For me, the most interesting cards in this promo are the ones that combine three things:
useful PlayStyles; good in-game body type; a price that still makes sense.
At this stage of FC 26 Ultimate Team, you are not just buying stats. You are buying how the card actually moves, how it reacts in bad gameplay, how useful the PlayStyles are, and whether the player fits the current meta.
That is why some cards here look much better than their price suggests — and some look more expensive than they should be.
Pau Cubarsí TOTS Review — Best Value CB in LaLiga TOTS?
Price: Around 90k coins. Position: CB Key PlayStyles: Whipped Pass+, Jockey+, Anticipate+, Bruiser Verdict chip: “Best Value Defender”
Pau Cubarsí is probably one of the most interesting value cards in this LaLiga TOTS team.
At the time of writing, his price is around 87k–90k coins, and for that kind of budget, the card looks extremely strong. The combination of stats and PlayStyles makes him feel like a very complete centre-back option.
The biggest thing that stands out is his defensive PlayStyle set. He has Whipped Pass+, Jockey+, and Anticipate+ — and that is already a very serious package for a defender.
Honestly, what else do you need from a centre-back?
Yes, it would have been perfect if he also had Bruiser+, but here it is only a regular Bruiser PlayStyle. That is a small downside, but not enough to ruin the card.
For the price, Cubarsí feels close to ideal. He gives you elite defensive tools, strong passing value from the back, and enough reliability to justify the coins.
If you are building a LaLiga squad or need a smart-value defender, this is one of the first cards I would look at.
Quick verdict: Pau Cubarsí is the best value defender from LaLiga TOTS if his price stays around the 200k coins range.
Raphinha TOTS Review — Underrated Wide Option
Key PlayStyles: Rapid+, Quick Step+ Weak foot: 4★ WF Role: Explosive winger Verdict chip: “Better than the price suggests”
The next card that caught my eye is Raphinha.
And to be honest, I do not fully understand why his price is so low . Maybe the market is punishing him because he only has 4-star weak foot, but that does not change the fact that this card looks very nice in-game.
Raphinha has a very pleasant body model for a wide player. He should feel sharp, responsive, and dangerous on the flank.
More importantly, his PlayStyles are almost perfect for a winger. Rapid+ and Quick Step+ are exactly what you want from a wide attacker. These PlayStyles matter a lot because they affect how explosive and dangerous the card feels in real gameplay, not just on paper.
For me, this is the type of card that can easily feel better than the market price suggests.
The weak foot is the obvious concern. If you need a winger who can shoot and pass equally well with both feet, then yes, Raphinha has a limitation. But if you use him correctly on the flank, his pace, acceleration, and movement can still make him extremely useful.
For the coins, I think he deserves attention.
Quick verdict: Raphinha is one of the most underrated LaLiga TOTS attackers if you can live with the 4-star weak foot.
Marcos Alonso TOTS Evolution Review — Elite Full-Back for 75k?
Now let’s talk about one of the biggest value surprises in this LaLiga TOTS content: Marcos Alonso TOTS Evolution.
And this is where the context changes everything. If we were talking about a 3 million coin card, I would judge him very differently. But this Evolution costs only 75k coins, and for that price, the final card looks honestly ridiculous.
You get a 94-rated LB who can also play CB, with 90 pace, 93 passing, 94 defending and 92 physical. That already sounds strong, but the real reason I like this card is the profile: he is tall, strong, reliable defensively, and still has enough technical quality to help in build-up.
The 5-star skills and 4-star weak foot also make him more flexible than most defensive cards in this price range. You do not need to use him as a fancy attacking full-back, but having that extra control when playing out from the back definitely helps.
His PlayStyle set is also very complete. He has Whipped Pass, Anticipate, Jockey, Block, Bruiser, Intercept, Technical, First Touch, Long Ball Pass, and Aerial. That is a lot of useful tools for a defender who can play both wide and centrally.
For me, the most interesting part is that he can work in different roles. As a left-back, he gives you defensive security and strong passing. As a centre-back, he becomes a very useful option if you like bigger defenders who can pass out from the back.
The only thing to keep in mind is that he will not feel like a small explosive full-back. He is not that kind of player. If you want a tiny, ultra-agile full-back who turns like a winger, Alonso is not your guy. But if you want a strong, reliable, physical defender with great passing and defensive presence, this Evolution is excellent value.
Quick verdict: Marcos Alonso TOTS Evolution is one of the best value options in this LaLiga TOTS content. For only 75k coins, you get a 94-rated LB/CB with elite defensive stats, strong physicals, and a very complete PlayStyle package.
Fede Valverde TOTS Review — The Midfielder I Trust More
Fede Valverde is another card that deserves attention, and honestly, there is not much need to overcomplicate this one.
He is simply a very high-quality midfielder.
Valverde has 5-star skills and 5-star weak foot [CHECK], one of the most comfortable body types for midfield, and a PlayStyle set that fits his role almost perfectly.
The key thing with Valverde is that he usually feels strong without feeling clunky. That is rare. A lot of midfielders either feel powerful but heavy, or agile but weak. Valverde often sits in that perfect middle ground.
His PlayStyles are also very good for the position. He has Anticipate+, Tiki Taka+ [CHECK “gold triangle” term], strong passing tools, and some of the best regular PlayStyles you can ask for in midfield.
For me, he is one of the most reliable midfielders in this LaLiga TOTS team. Not necessarily the flashiest card, but the kind of player who quietly wins matches because he does everything well.
If you want a midfielder who can defend, carry the ball, pass, and survive pressure, Valverde is a very strong option for the coins.
Quick verdict: Fede Valverde is my preferred LaLiga TOTS midfielder because he offers the best mix of body type, PlayStyles, power, and all-around reliability.
Tchouaméni TOTS Review — Good Tools, Bad Feel
Now let’s move to one of the more questionable cards: Tchouaméni.
On paper, he looks very strong. At around 872k coins, you get a 95-rated CDM with 90 pace, 93 passing, 91 dribbling, 94 defending and 95 physical. He can also play CB and CM, and he has the Lengthy accelerate type, which makes him even more interesting as a defensive presence.
His PlayStyle set is also very good for a deeper midfielder. Intercept, Jockey, Anticipate, Bruiser and Aerial Fortress give him strong defensive tools, while Pinged Pass, Incisive Pass, Long Ball Pass and Tiki Taka make him useful when progressing the ball.
So the issue is not the stats. The stats are good. The issue is how this type of card can feel in-game.
The 4-star skills and 4-star weak foot are not terrible, but at this stage of FC 26, they are not special either. And the bigger concern is his body profile. Tchouaméni is tall, strong and physical, but that can also make him feel stiff when you need quick turns in midfield.
As a pure CDM, he can absolutely work. If you want a strong defensive anchor who wins duels, intercepts passes and moves the ball forward safely, he has the tools. But as a complete midfielder who needs to turn quickly, escape pressure and feel smooth in tight spaces, I am less convinced.
If you like bigger, more physical midfielders, you may enjoy him. But for 872k coins, I would be careful. The card is strong, but the heavy feel can limit him depending on your playstyle.
Quick verdict: Tchouaméni has elite defensive tools, strong physicals and a great PlayStyle package, but for around 872k coins, his 4★ / 4★ and potentially heavy feel make him a card I would test carefully before fully committing.
Pedri TOTS Review — Is He Overpriced at 1.3M Coins?
And now, forgive me, Barcelona fans.
But I still have a hard time fully justifying 1.3 million coins for Pedri.
Yes, this is obviously a very strong card. He is 96-rated, has 5-star skills and 5-star weak foot, and the face stats are beautiful: 91 pace, 92 shooting, 94 passing, 97 dribbling, 88 defending and 88 physical. On the ball, he should feel extremely clean.
Pedri also has a strong technical PlayStyle package. Technical, First Touch, Quick Step, Tiki Taka, Incisive Pass and Pinged Pass all fit the type of midfielder he is. He should be excellent at receiving the ball, turning, passing quickly and controlling possession.
But for me, the issue is value.
At 1.3M coins, I need more than just smooth dribbling and a big name. His smaller body model can be amazing in tight spaces, but it can also be a problem when the game becomes physical. Against stronger midfielders, he may get pushed off the ball more often than I would like from a card at this price.
This is where the comparison with Valverde becomes important. Pedri is cleaner and more agile on the ball, no doubt. But Valverde gives you more power, more physical presence, better defensive reliability, and a more complete midfield profile for fewer coins.
This is not a bad card. Of course not. Pedri is elite technically. But at 1.3 million coins, I think the expectations should be much higher.
Quick verdict: Pedri is an excellent technical midfielder, but he looks like the most questionable value compared to Valverde. If you care about pure ball control, he has a real argument. If you care about all-around impact for the coins, I would rather use Valverde.
Valverde vs Pedri: Who Is Better Value in Midfield?
If we compare them directly, this is where Valverde wins for me.
Pedri might feel smoother in tight spaces, and some players will always prefer that small agile midfielder profile. If your main priority is ball control, quick turning and technical possession play, Pedri is obviously very attractive.
But for the price, I want more than clean dribbling.
Valverde gives me more presence, more power, more defensive value and a stronger all-around midfield profile. He feels like the card I would trust more across different gameplay conditions — especially in heavy gameplay or matches where midfield duels matter.
Pedri is the better “silky midfielder”. Valverde is the better complete midfielder.
So if the question is simply “who is more fun on the ball?”, Pedri has an argument.
But if the question is “who is better value for the coins?”, my answer is Valverde.
Who Should Buy These LaLiga TOTS Cards?
Buy / Consider
Cubarsí — value CB
Raphinha — underrated winger
Valverde — complete midfielder
Alonso — best value Evolution
Be Careful / Skip
Tchouaméni — heavy feel
Pedri — expensive for the value
Buy Pau Cubarsí if you need a reliable LaLiga centre-back without spending elite-tier coins. At around 87k coins, he looks like one of the clearest value defenders in this team.
Buy Raphinha if you want an explosive winger and can live with the 4-star weak foot. At around 124k coins, his Rapid, Quick Step and technical profile make him much more dangerous than the price suggests.
Buy Marcos Alonso if you want one of the best value Evolutions from this LaLiga TOTS content. For only 75k coins, you get a 94-rated LB/CB with strong defensive stats, great passing, 5-star weak foot and a very complete PlayStyle package.
Buy Fede Valverde if you need a complete midfielder who can defend, pass, carry the ball and stay reliable in difficult gameplay. He is around 890k coins, but the all-around profile is strong enough to justify serious attention.
Be careful with Tchouaméni if you dislike heavy midfielders. He has elite defensive tools, strong physicals and a great PlayStyle set, but for around 872k coins, the 4-star skills, 4-star weak foot and heavier feel make him less universal.
Skip or wait on Pedri if you are mainly looking for value. He is technically excellent, but at around 1.3M coins, the price is hard to justify compared to Valverde if you care about all-around midfield impact.
Is LaLiga TOTS Worth Spending Coins On?
Overall, this LaLiga TOTS team has some very strong cards, but the value is not equally distributed.
Some cards look excellent for their price. Cubarsí, Raphinha and Marcos Alonso are the three that stand out most from a value perspective. Cubarsí gives you a very usable centre-back for around 87k coins, Raphinha looks dangerous for around 124k coins, and Alonso’s Evolution gives you a 94-rated LB/CB for only 75k coins.
Then you have cards like Fede Valverde, who is more expensive at around 890k coins, but still feels justified because of his complete midfield profile. He has pace, passing, defensive value, physical presence, 5-star skills, 5-star weak foot and the kind of body type that usually works well in-game.
And then there are cards like Tchouaméni and Pedri, where I would be more careful. Not because they are bad — both are obviously strong cards — but because the coin investment may not match what they actually give you compared to alternatives.
That is the main thing with TOTS cards: the name and rating can be misleading. At this stage, you are not just paying for stats. You are paying for body type, PlayStyles, responsiveness, Chemistry Style fit and how the card behaves in real matches.
Final Verdict: Best LaLiga TOTS Cards in FC 26
If I had to pick the most interesting LaLiga TOTS cards outside the obvious Mbappé and Yamal tier, my list would be pretty clear.
Best value: Pau Cubarsí. For around 87k coins, he looks like one of the best low-cost defensive options from this LaLiga TOTS release.
Most underrated attacker: Raphinha. At around 124k coins, he offers a lot of pace, movement and winger value. The 4-star weak foot hurts him a little, but Rapid and Quick Step on a good wide body type still matter a lot.
Best value Evolution: Marcos Alonso. For only 75k coins, this Evolution gives you a 94-rated LB/CB with 90 pace, 93 passing, 94 defending and 92 physical. He is not the most agile full-back in the world, but for the price, the value is excellent.
Best midfielder for me: Fede Valverde. At around 890k coins, he is not cheap, but he has the body type, PlayStyles, 5-star skills, 5-star weak foot and all-around presence I want from a top midfielder.
Most questionable value: Pedri. Not bad, not even close. Pedri is elite technically, but at around 1.3M coins, I would personally rather use Valverde if the goal is all-around midfield impact.
Be careful: Tchouaméni. He has excellent defensive tools and physicals, but at around 872k coins, the heavy feel and 4-star / 4-star combo make him more playstyle-dependent.
So yes, LaLiga TOTS has some serious cards. Just do not spend your coins only because of the name on the card.
